Hey Beauties! 💃

“Where to donate clothes in Bali” - it’s the burning question we are all asking ourselves right now. Let’s get real for a sec, girls: Halloween just passed, and your room is probably still recovering from the spooky season aftermath. Your wardrobe has officially exploded, and honestly, sometimes our closets start to look like a small boutique exploded in there. Sound familiar? With Christmas right around the corner, do we really want to drag all that old stuff into the New Year? Absolutely not!

Where to donate clothes in Bali is the first step to resetting your life before 2026 rolls around. If your closet is bursting at the seams and you’re tempted to just toss everything in the trash (guilty!), hold up! Before you do, why not give your clothes a second chance and help out our beautiful Bali environment at the same time? 🌿 You’ve got tops from 2019 holding onto memories you don't need, and bikinis that don't fit your current style. So, grab a matcha, put on your favorite playlist, and let me tell you exactly where to drop those bags so you can start 2026 feeling light as a feather.

Sending Love Beyond Bali: Our Family in Aceh & Sumatra Needs Us

Before we dive into the local spots in Bali, our hearts are heavy thinking about our neighbors in Aceh and North Sumatra who are currently facing a devastating crisis. Recent severe floods have damaged homes and forced many families to evacuate, leaving people in those regions dealing with loss, disruption, and difficult recovery conditions. It’s hard to watch from afar and feel helpless, but there is actually a way we can send support directly from here.

JNE (one of Indonesia's biggest logistics companies) has stepped up with an incredible program. They will ship your donations to these affected areas for free; you don't have to pay a cent! Just keep in mind there is a max of 10 kg per shipment. You simply need to drop your package at one of the main branches:

But, if you prefer to donate only to people in Bali, keep scrolling! We give you 3 amazing options below where your items can find a new home right here on the island.

3 Spots Where to Donate Clothes in Bali

If you are busy trying to get your life together before the holidays, they are perfect because they have drop-off points at places you probably hang out anyway, like Finns!

Where to donate clothes in Bali through Sole Family directly helps "SoleBuddies" people dealing with serious health issues or disabilities. It’s the easiest way to turn your old outfits into a massive blessing for someone else.

  • What they need: Clean clothes (adults & kids), toys, non-perishable food, and mobility aids. You can support their life-saving medical work and food drives by donating money directly and being a legend from the comfort of your couch.

Where to donate clothes in Bali with this foundation ensures your items go directly to local villagers in need, specifically around the Tegalmengkeb, Tabanan area. They are the heart of the village, focusing on education for local kids, plastic recycling, and even turtle conservation! Since 2008, they have been the support system for families who might otherwise be overlooked.

  • What they need:

    • Clothes & Shoes: Wearable items for adults and kids.

    • Educational Supplies: Books, stationery, or school bags for their education programs.

    • Basic Essentials: They also help with food and medical support, so non-perishable food is often welcome (just check with Ana first!).

    • If you’re all decluttered out but still want to support the village, they gratefully accept cash donations to keep their school and eco-projects running.

Say hello to Rekynd and Tricycle, Bali’s awesome communities helping you tackle wardrobe clutter and reduce textile waste! 🎉 Rekynd is a Bali-based social enterprise dedicated to transforming textile waste into value through sustainability and community empowerment. Their mission is to reduce textile waste and promote a circular economy by offering services such as cloth waste management, clothes swap events, local thrift stores, and textile upcycling workshops.

Rekynd & Tricycle host monthly clothing swaps and the annual Sustainable Fashion Fest, events packed with activities, workshops, and plenty of chances to refresh your wardrobe sustainably. Is your closet bursting? Bring those clothes to Rekynd’s monthly swap parties, where you can trade your “What am I wearing today?” or “I have nothing to wear” (even though we all know you do) pieces for some fresh finds.

  • What they need:

    • FREE: Clothes, fabrics, and other textile-based waste that are still in good, wearable condition can be donated or resold.

    • What They Don’t Accept: non-textile items such as bags, shoes, and accessories; worn underwear and socks (for hygiene reasons)

  • How to donate:

    • Collect the items you no longer wear. Once you’re ready, simply DM them on IG (@rekynd.id) or WhatsApp at +62 851‐6890‐6820.

Meanwhile, Tricycle, an eco-warrior sister project of Rekynd. While Rekynd focuses on the serious business of textile waste management, Tricycle hosts the legendary Sustainable Fashion Fest (SFF) every year. You can join as a volunteer or participant and buy tokens to swap your clothes, which makes refreshing your wardrobe easy, cheap, and sustainable. It’s literally a big green party where you can learn cool stuff at workshops, declutter your closet, and hunt for your new favorite outfit, all while connecting with like-minded, eco-conscious people. Who knew saving the world could look this stylish?

  • How to find the next event: They usually host an annual event (often around August or December). Keep your eyes peeled on their social media for the dates!

So next time you’re tempted to just toss those jeans or that dress you haven’t worn since forever, think twice! Bali’s got amazing places and communities ready to give your clothes a new life and keep our island beautiful. Plus, it’s so much more satisfying than just tossing your clothes away.
